A GIANT
During my commute home from work last March, a giant SUV turned in front of me. I was traveling a little over 50mph and managed to swerve around the oncoming vehicle. But then I instinctively grabbed a handful of brake (it all happened so fast) and found myself flipped forward, into the air. I slid a couple hundred feet down the road, tumbling over and over, with my bike sliding behind me on its side. I had just "upgraded" to a leather riding jacket a few weeks prior, and was wearing my new Icon Motorhead when I went down. My helmet's face shield was totally scratched from sliding face-down and the leather was skinned off my gloves down to the armor, but the jacket stood up to the impact. It had only one tiny rub-through hole and a few scuffs to show for it. I had a fractured elbow and wrist, but that was from my hand hitting the ground when I landed. I suffered no road rash, and the fractures were minor. I immediately bought another Motorhead jacket. I've since recovered and bought a new bike, and have worn nothing but Icon gear. Thanks for making gear that protects as well as it looks.
