OVERCONFIDENT
Dear Icon,
On September 14, 2008, I was on a canyon ride with some friends. After about an hour of carving at about 60-70 mph, we got more comfortable with the course and stepped it up. Near the end of the ride there was a 25mph corner that my friends - who are licensed roadracers - cleared without issue. I'm not on the same skill level as them, but I got overconfident. I shot right off the turn (no guardrail) and right into some lady's yard. After rolling for several feet I got up virtually unscathed thanks to my helmet, gloves, jeans, and most importantly, my Icon Arc Seventh Seal Jacket. I walked away from the crash with just a bruised collarbone and shoulder bones. In addition to a new upper cowling and windscreen, I now also need a new helmet, gloves, and jacket. You guys can bet on who I'll be buying all my stuff from. Thank you Icon for saving my life.
