NO ROAD RASH
I was riding some wicked curves on the back roads of western Washington with a couple of friends. I got quite a ways ahead of them, so I slowed down to check if my buddies were coming. When I turned back around the corner came up on me a little too quickly. I tried to apply some rear brake, and holy crap.nothing! Too much front brake, a guard rail and a little gravel on the corner then added up to the worst stoppie known to man. The result? A broken back, a broken neck, a broken collarbone, five broken ribs and ligaments torn from my spine. The ambulance guys had to cut the riding gear off my body. Two days after surgery, I was up and walking. I know that with a little rehab and a new bike, I will ride again. Thank God for Icon....
No Road Rash,
