TESTIMONIALS
1604
I was tooling along a stretch of Loop 1604 one night, and in the middle of a long sweeping left hander I came across a large amount of gravel scattered across the lanes. I started sliding to the outside of the turn and just about the time I thought I might save it, I found myself bumping into a truck tread that had peeled off the rim. I glanced at my speedometer - 75 mph. When I hit, it knocked the wind out of me and everything went black.
Fortunately there were concrete barriers lining both sides of the road so I didn't go off the overpass, but I skidded between the asphalt and concrete for who knows how long. My helmet spared my brain, my Icon jacket save the bulk of my body (just a few cracked ribs), and my Icon boots saved my feet. If I'd been wearing Icon gloves my hands would have been spared as well. All in all, I'm amazed I came through it so easily - just 23 hours in the hospital. I have Icon gear to thank for it. I owe you.
