RIDERS
Ray Price Team
If you live anywhere near the Mason-Dixon line, you're probably familiar with the smell of Ray Price Team's brand of smoke. Get a little closer to the Rock - Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina - and you'll pretty much figure out that Team Ray Price owns the place. Or so they'll tell you, anyway.
He's not just about running a Nitro Harley drag team; Price has his own wicked track record sheet, too. He's an inducted member of the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame, and pretty much accepted as the Father of the Funnybike. Price also cobbled together the first wheelie bar for bikes, so now we can all groove on watching dragbikes' insane power get transferred to the rear wheel without the bike flipping over.
Ray also holds the honor of having run four 6.4 second passes at one event, with personal bests of 6.437 secs and 227.87 mph. The Price team set the Nitro Harley World ET record in 2002 and an AHDRA record in 2004. Now retired from racing, Ray is all about racking up new records with his the Nitro drag team, with Joey Sternotti at the throttle.
