Manu Turbatte
Paris, FranceParis usually gets props as the City of Light, but it probably looks more like the City of Smoke once native son Manu Turbate lights up his CBR 1000. He's known as the "King of France" over there, which we think beats his other nickname, Manu de Nice. Not exactly chest-beating stuff. Still, Turbate is one of the most recognized stunt riders in Southern France, having entered the biz in 1999 with a GSXR 750. After years of cribbing U.S. stunt videos, he came out with his own groundbreaking DVD, "Nice Stunt Rock and Roll", in 2003. No, we don't know what the title means either.
Bad Euro film tags aside, Manu's not without his share of talent. The tall Gaul is best known for a twisted trick he created back in 2005, something dubbed, 'the face skitching' (yup, his quotes). It's facial masochism at its finest, and to this day he's still the only guy sick enough to attempt it.
