Seeing as how he hails from the desert town of Albuquerque, you might think Ernie Vigil would be missing that crucial competition gene. Well, you'd be wrong. As it turns out, the land of scrub and sand has only fueled EDub's fever for two wheels.

Ever since he took delivery of his first wheels at age 7, EDub's been having a blast on bikes. As a youngster, he even churned out some stunts for a little movie outfit called Warner Bros. Lately, the lanky six-footer has been tearing up the show circuit on his own, piling up an impressive cache of hardware from events like Stuntwars and XDL Best of the West.

"I've always been real competitive in everything I do", says EDub. "But the thing that keeps me going is I love motorcycles, period. I'm going to be that 60 year-old guy still stunting out in the lot with all the young bucks".

Good thing he's a member of the Death Squad stunt team – it gives him opportunities to push his Kawi 636 to the ragged edge on a regular basis. And that, says Ernie, is the best reward: " There's no feeling like throwing around a 400lb., 120 hp bike like it's a toy."

Hard to argue with that one.
