YOUR DAILY DOSE OF THE ICON LIFESTYLE

Icon,
It was a great day to go for a burn up in Saskatchewan, so naturally took my R1 out and picked up a friend of mine. We were headed off a highway exit ramp when this lovely old woman failed to shoulder check and cut me off on the inside lane, sending me to the outside lane where I picked up some gravel in my rear tire and started to slide sideways. I kept the bike up into the corner till my front tire slipped out from under us. I ended up hitting the ground hard and skidding for just under 90 feet uphill. I got up and checked if my passenger was alright and turned with enough time to watch the little old woman take the corner and bugger off. The passenger got off with a few scrapes thanks to the Domain helmet she was wearing and I walked off with a scarred up shoulder and some road rash. Thanks to my Timax gloves, variant helmet, and spine protector I am still walking. Best kick in the pants I got was a $300 ticket for driving with undue care and attention because the cops didn’t believe I was cut off and there were no witnesses other than my passenger. Cheers for the great gear, keep up the good work.
