It was my day off and I was on my way to make a payment on my motorcycle at my local bank. I was cruising in the right lane when a car merged in front of me and locked up their brakes. I broke hard, but unfortunately it was to late. Next thing I remember is flying through the air and landing my upper torso and face upon the rear windshield, while my lower half was slamming into a trunk. I was wearing my Variant Etched helmet which saved my head and neck. I remember my face making contact with the rear windshield, but I only received a cut on my chin, and my head was fine. My upper torso was protected by the Arc mesh jacket. I had some bruises, and I can definitely feel where my body took the impact. The padding in the jacket saved my forearms as the muscles are still tight as I write this. I was able to get up and walk away and I am grateful to still be alive. To be honest, I have Icon to thank as these products held up in the crash and saved my life.
